Beautifully preserved thanks to an environment-friendly restoration that preserved its original characteristics, it has also been made comfortable and functional. Tiziano and Patrizia, who run the place with energy and warmth, came here five years ago and started their labour of love, the restoration of Meone Vecchio, preserving its fine character—beamed ceilings, stone walls, cotto floors, original fireplace—while adding modern comforts. The farmhouse is divided into five 1-2-3-bedroom suites, with stylish rural while snug interiors—none are the same and each has its own flair. The apartments are furnished with fine antique furniture perfectly suited to the building. Tiziano himself did the restoration using environment-friendly products and paints.

Meone Vecchio is located in the upper Tiber valley, in the municipality of Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, Perugia. FROM AREZZO/FIRENZE (A1): - From the A1 motorway take exit signed Arezzo, then follow for Città di Castello; - At Monterchi turn right to Monte Santa Maria Tiberina; - Reach the hamlet of Marcignano (near the playground) and follow signs for Meone Vecchio (dirt road up steep hill); - Farmhouse is on top. FROM THE E45 FREEWAY: - Exit Città di Castello; - Take right for about 200 metres (coming from south, turn left and go on for 400 mt) and then left to Trèstina; - At San Secondo turn right for Santa Maria Tiberina; - Reach the hamlet of Marcignano (near the playground) and follow signs for Meone Vecchio (dirt road up steep hill); - Farmhouse is on top. CAUTION: The stretch from Marcignano to Meone Vecchio (3 km) is a steep dirt road in the wood – drive carefully!

The farmhouse is divided into five 1-2-3-bedroom suites, with stylish rural while snug interiors—none are the same and each has its own flair. The apartments are furnished with fine antique furniture, all painstakingly restored using environment-friendly products and paints. The comfy beds have 100% latex mattresses and pillows and fine crisp cotton linen to match the old-fashioned style. In each suite there is a fully-equipped kitchen for self-catering and a woodburning stove or fireplace that can be lit in the cold season.

OUR PRODUCTS Our guests can take their meals (to be booked in advance) in the guest room, under the pergola or by the pool. During our thematic evenings typical food from other regions will be served. The traditional plain and tasty dishes of the regional cuisine will be served with excellent wines from our cellar. Our farmhouse produces certified organic products such as corn, rare old varieties of fruits, vegetables, jams and syrups, honey, wine, olives, olive oil. ACTIVITIES Our guests can take relaxing walks in the woods looking for chestnuts and mushrooms or enjoying the wildlife (wild boars, foxes, birds etc.) Horse-riding can be booked on request and mountain bikes are available for our guests. From Spring to Autumn our guests can bask in the sun by the swimming pool in the garden overlooking the valley.
