The Centomiglia regatta
The "Centomiglia" is the most famous European sailing regatta in internal waters; it's a Lake Garda Tour by boat, that since 1951 starts and arrives in the little harbour in Bogliaco, near Gargnano (BS).
Its name was modelled after that of another important competition (albeit it was a car race), the Millemiglia, which back then was a real competitive race touring Italy.
Hundreds of boats compete in the regatta, some of which piloted by the best international sporting sailors, and they attract thousands of fans from all over the world.
