The period furniture and fittings make each apartment unique. The restaurant which is open only to guests, offers the best of traditional cooking using organically grown products from the estate of the Count of Caracciolo of Sarno.
Located on the legendary Sabine hills, the Grange is the ideal base for long and medium breaks where you can blend the peacefulness of really feeling at home with relaxed trips around Umbria, Tuscany and nearby Rome.

Historians agree that the castle of Tarano must have existed before AD 952 as the name Sergius de Tarano first appears in a document of that year mentioning trade with the nearby town of Magliano. Entry to the town is through a mædieval arch and the street leads from Piazza Marconi to the Church of S. Maria Assunta. The area has many wonderful sights and artistic works and for this reason attracts a large number of tourists, particularly in the summer months.
Thirty years ago, I looked long and hard for this a place like this before I finally found it and I’m still not sure if I chose it or it chose me. The daily rat-race of life in the City created in me a need for peace and tranquillity, created a longing for contact with nature and the desire to be surrounded by it. Then I discovered this area steeped in history, tradition and legend and yet alive with craftwork and cuisine. I quite simply fell in love with the little houses hidden away among the greenery and thought I could live here and share this magnificence with my nearest and dearest. That’s exactly how it happened, and then I started to fulfil my dream and create this Grange, buying first one hectare, then another, then another. The houses were lovingly restored and named after flowers and each one was decorated with antique furniture to emphasise its true rustic charm. I discovered the beauty of working with antique tools and by now have a huge collection of them. I gradually expanded the gardens and began growing only organic products. This passion has not decreased over time that now I would like to share with others who know and appreciate what I’m saying.
