Arthotel is located in the centre of Mirano, just 20 Km far from Venice, 20 Km from Padua, 25 Km from Treviso, 8 Km from Riviera del Brenta; besides, we are really well linked to the mentioned famous historical centres by public buses and trains. You can leave your car in our free parking and catch the bus to reach Venice; there is a bus every 20 minutes from 4.30 a.m. till 00.30 p.m. The bus stop is only 100 mt. far from the hotel. If you have a car you can reach MIRA-MIRANO railway station that is 4 Km far from us, avoiding the traffic and problem of parking. There are trains every hour and it’s a good way to get toVenice (20 minutes) and Padua (15 minutes).
By car: From the motorway A4 MILANO-VENICE, the right exit is DOLO-MIRANO, once arrived at the roundabout follow the direction to Dolo-Mirano; at the traffic light turn right and follow the direction to Mirano, few minutes later you’ll pass a subway and after 5 Km you’ll get to Mirano; at the traffic light turn right following the direction to centro” (centre) and after 200 mt on the left you’ll find Via dei Pensieri” and Arthotel. From the state road RAVENNA-CHIOGGIA you reach at the first roundabout and take the third street following the direction to Mirano-Spinea. You go straight and after a few kilometres you’ll find two others roundabouts but it’s important to follow always the direction to Mirano; after about 10 Km you’ll reach Mirano and at the traffic light turn right followin the direction to Mirano centro” (centre), at the next traffic light turn left following always the direction centre”and after 900 mt on the right you’ll find Via dei Pensieri” and Arthotel. By plane: from Marco Polo Venice: You can take the orange bus ACTV n.15 and get off at Mestre at the bus-stop VEMPA” (takes 30 min.) then cross the road where you can find the bus-stop to MIRANO (orange bus). We suggest you to buy the ticket at the airport (that is valid taking both buses to Mirano) that costs 2.30 € per person. Or you can take a public blu bus ATVO (direct line), get off in Venice-P.le Roma (take 20 min.) ticket costs 3.00 € per person, from there take the orange bus to MIRANO, ticket costs 1.70 €. Buy the tickets at the airport. Once you are in MIRANO ask to the bus driver to get off in Via Cavin di Sala close to VIA GRAMSCI, 50 mts from the bus-stop you’ll find Arthotel. The bus from Venice-Mirano is every 20 minutes from 4.30 a.m. till 00.30 a.m., the one way bus ticket costs 2.30 € per person, return ticket costs 4.10 €. From S.Angelo Treviso: You can take the bus service managed by RYANAIR or GERMANWINGS that arrives to Venice-P.le Roma ticket costs 4.50 € per person, (see on the top how to reach us from Venice-P.le Roma). Buy the ticket at the change office at the airport. For bus and shuttle timetables from Venice and Treviso airports toVenice-P.le Roma, you can consult web site www.atvo.it Other wise, if you have many luggage you can ask to book a TAXI, which costs for both the airports 35.00/40.00 € (max. 4 persons). The taxi has to be reserved 2/3 days in advance, informing us about the flight provenance, the arrival time and date, as well as the number of people. By train: You can arrive to Venice S. Lucia railway station and by foot (max 10 min.) or by water-bus (only one stop) you can reach Piazzale Roma where you can find the bus terminal; take the orange bus to MIRANO. The journey takes about 40 min., at MIRANO ask to the bus driver to get off in Via Cavin di Sala close VIA GRAMSCI, at 50 mts from the bus-stop Arthotel is. If you prefer you can get off at Mestre-Venice train station, out of the station turn right and after 300 mts turn right again on an flyover, then cross the road and on the other side there is the bus stop to MIRANO (it’s called Vempa”), the journey takes about 30 min, in MIRANO ask to the bus driver to get off in Via Cavin di Sala close to VIA GRAMSCI, at 50 mts from the bus-stop Arthotel is. Other wise, you want to reach Mira-Mirano train station, you have to get off at Padua or Mestre-Venice station and take a local train (every hour). The railway station is 4 Km far from Mirano centre, there is a bus service but not frequently; so the best way is to inform us few days before, we can call a Taxi for you that costs 8.00 € (max. 4 persons). If you have many luggage you can ask to book a TAXI, which costs 20.00 € from Mestre and 30.00 € from Venice Piazzale Roma (max. 4 persons). All the rooms have been in January 2003 restored with care and overlook a wood or a quiet byroad; they are all provided with private bathroom with shower, central heating, indipendent air conditioning, direct-phone with internet access plug, color TV, sommier beds with ortopaedic mattresses (double or twin beds on request) and darkening curtains, safe on request. The prices are per room per night, taxes and services included; air conditioned and heating are free of charge. Buffet breakfast is not included and costs 6.00 € per person.
At the hotel you will be provided with maps, books, guides, literature and all Roberta’s, Elena’s and Renzo’s suggestions. RIVIERA DEL BRENTA (8km) It is famous because of its beautiful villas. The Brenta is an old river that has been turned to a navigable canal, which links Venice to Padua. In the 16th – 18th the Venetian nobles elected this area as a vacation resort. Some of the more than 100 villas that are reflected in the Brenta canal can be visited (as Villa Nazionale Pisani and Villa Rossi in Strà, Villa Widman Foscari and the La Barchessa” Valmarana in Mira, Villa Ferretti Angeli in Dolo and Villa Foscari in Malcontenta). VENICE (20km) Surrounded by the lagoon, Venice is the most important historical centre of the Veneto region. This beautiful city is famous because of its bridges, canals, ancient palaces and the important churches as the Basilica and the Frari church; besides, the lagoon Island (Murano, Burano and Torcello) are easily reachable. PADUA (20km) This ancient city of the Roman period is rich in Medieval and Renaissance monuments; the most important sightseeing of the city are the Basilica of St. Anthony. Not to be missed: the Santa Giustina church, Prato della Valle, the University, the historical Caffè Pedrocchi”, the well-known Piazza delle Erbe and Palazzo della Ragione. TREVISO (25km) This historical centre is famous because of the river Sile and the small canals which pass through the city and under the houses, moving the watermills and offering some unforgettable views. Visit the typical island of fish shop and enjoy the Medieval and Renaissance palaces and their façades with wonderful frescos. Do not miss the boundary walls (made in the Fifteenth century), full of monumental gates. CHIOGGIA (45/50km) Chioggia is a lively, busy seaside town that has history oozing out every stone. It was founded by the Romans and was the second most important town in the Venetian Republic. It has a very unusual appearance: it is cut up into ribbons by canals and is linked together by bridges. Its alleys or "calli" radiate outwards from the main square, in classic herring bone fashion. ASOLO / BASSANO (50/60km) A short trip through the Venetian country leads you to Asolo, wonderful Medieval village on the top of a hill, where you can visit the Queen Caterina Cornaro’ s castle, the fortress, the Villas, the steep arcades, the Eleonora Duse’ s and poet Robert Browning’ s houses. Asolo is well-known as the town of the 100 horizons, because of the beauty of its views. Close to Asolo is Bassano, famous because of its Ponte degli Alpini”, designed by Palladio. This town is full of ancient palaces; besides, you can admire a beautiful castle and the Medieval town walls. VICENZA (50km) This town is defended by the UNESCO, because of its precious historical centre, full of Palladian building, as the Palladian Basilica, the ancient Palazzo della Ragione (a Gothic building changed by Palladio), the Olympic Theatre (first example of permanent theatre of the modern age) and the well-known Villa Capra (just few Km far away from the centre). VERONA (110km) Historical centre rich in Roman monuments as the Arena, the Theatre, the gates and the Medieval monuments as the Scaligeri castle, the Scaligeri palaces and the Arche scaligere. Famous are its squares with beautiful fountains and the Juliet’s house; you can admire amazing views by the stone bridge over the river Adige.
