By boat You can reach Stromboli by boat or by hydrofoil from either Milazzo or the Napoli Mergellina harbours. The fastest way to reach the island is by hydrofoil. From the Sicilian harbour of Milazzo it takes about 3 hours by boat and one hour and 30 minutes by hydrofoil, whereas from Naples the journey takes 8 hours by boat and 4 hours by hydrofoil.
